Whittemore is a city in Iosco County, Michigan. The city is located in Burleigh Township, in the southwestern portion of the county.[2] The community, however, is politically and administratively autonomous from the township. Whittemore is located about fourteen miles west of Tawas City and about three miles south of the junction of M-55 and M-65.[3] The population was 476 during the 2000 census.[4]
